While Monday was pretty routine, I was worrying about Tuesday. I was scheduled for jury duty, and the only restaurant or place to eat at was an adjacent McDonalds. Now I know, theoretically, there are healthier things to eat at McDonald’s than a double quarter pounder with large fries and coke, I still was not looking for the temptation. Fortunately the parties settled shortly before lunch and I was able to get something to eat.
I have been tempting the weight fairy lately with my trips to Panchero’s for lunch. I don’t think the Subway stops are altogether bad for me, especially since I forego the chips and soda. Wednesday I had Subway for lunch as I knew I would have a long period before dinner.
On the way back home Wednesday night, it really sounded good to stop at Wendy’s. I’d get a chicken sandwich only, no fries or soda I told myself. Then I shook my head, and those thoughts off, and came home and put a Lean Cuisine in the microwave and called it good. I was still hungry so I added some fresh asparagus.
Despite having my evenings free, I have not done much in the way of exercise. After not being home for the past few weeks at night, it is nice to not have anything to do, and so I’ve been catching up on some web sites, some reading, and just trying to relax for once.
The weight loss has slowed down, so I know I have to pump it up a notch to jumpstart it. I will probably try and get through to the weekend and then aim next week to get out and take a walk at 6am, and then again at lunch and maybe a bike ride in the evening. Eventually I really need to start taking advantage of the gym membership I paid for, too.
