A beautiful day, but I had way too many things going on to go riding. I cleaned a couple rooms of the house, ran to the store once or twice, purchased a part at Radio Shack for the play, and then headed over to the theater at about 1pm.
On the way there I stopped at Subway and got my footlong Club. In what could be a first, I decided not to eat the entire club for lunch, but rather eat one 6″ and then save the other half for dinner. I realize many people do this, so it isn’t brain surgery, but it was something new for me, as I always devoured the entire sandwich at once sitting.
Rehearsal continued until about 9:30 and I arrived home shortly after 10 and cooked up a package of Ramen. In reality I probably could have done without.
I am starting to see and feel subtle changes and conditioning of muscles from the biking and losing the weight. Nothing ground breaking, but I feel more flexible and have better balance.
As we go into the next week, and a week of rehearsals every night, I need to focus on maintaining my common sense meals, not hitting fast food on the way or from the theater, and trying to get in a few walks during lunch at work. I realize the weight loss I have been experiencing this past week will begin to taper off, and I need to set reasonable expectations going forward. I’m confident I can continue eating better, and just hope and am trying to reach that goal. I really want people who haven’t seen me in a while to go “wow.”
